Fall Math Craft | Halloween Multiplication and Division Fact Families

Description

The fall season is here so it’s time for a fun pumpkin themed multiplication and division fact families math craft! This craft starts out as a quick assessment, turns into a fun math craft, makes a beautiful bulletin board or hallway display and, ultimately, makes an engaging self correcting math center.

Your students will start by choosing a fact family and will generate related multiplication and division facts as well as drawing visual models to match (the planning page makes a great quick assessment!). Next, your students will use the related equations to create a fun pumpkin circle book that shows the multiplication and division facts related to their three target numbers.

The project makes a beautiful bulletin board or hall display but when the craft is complete, the learning isn’t over!

Extend your students’ learning with the included Pumpkin Patch Scavenger Hunt. Your students will tour their classmates work and will note the 3 related numbers on each display. They will then generate 4 multiplication and division equations related to those three numbers. They can then use their classmates pumpkin circle book to check their work!

Included In This Resource You Will Find

  • A Printable Planning Page
  • 5 Printable Project Template Pages
  • A Pumpkin Patch Scavenger Hunt Recording Form
  • Clear Teacher Instructions with Photos of Work Samples
